Applying new license file

Hello,

we have 24X7 operation with a few AOS servers ( Axapta 3 sp2)
New license file contains only an update for more concurent users.
Do we have to bring Axapta down in order to apply it?
I couldn't find any help on this one.

I would appreciate any comments.

- even if only number of concurent users is changed you MUST have full database backup if for some reason license file import goes wrong - shit happends © Forrest Gump
- you MUST restart AOS instances to be sure that new license takes effect

i guess 15min of planned downtime is more preferable scenario than online importing license file in production system and troubleshooting after it
